The finest things in life are neither costly nor hard to find.

There was a group of elderly Japanese gentlemen who would meet often to exchange news and share tea together. One of their diversions was to search for rare and the more expensive varieties of tea and create new blends that would delight the palate.
Then came the turn of the oldest member of the group to entertain the others, he served tea with the greatest Chanoyu ceremony and choreographic detail, measuring out the leaves from a golden container. Everyone had the highest praise for the tea and demanded to know by what particular combination he had arrived at this exquisite blend.
The old man smiled and said, “Gentlemen, the tea that you find so delightful is the one that is drunk by the peasants on my farm.
The finest things in life are neither costly nor hard to find.”

Now it says this artice is only 139 words, if it is'nt 250 it will come right back with a message in red : Your PR is too short, it must be atleast 250 words! So I picked up another little nouget for you.

A woman once came to Gandhi and asked him to please tell her son to give up eating sugar. Gandhi asked the woman to bring the boy back in a week.
Exactly one week later the woman returned, and Gandhi said to the boy, “Please give up eating sugar.” The woman thanked the Mahatma, and, as she turned to go, asked him why he had not said those words a week ago.
Gandhi replied, “Because a week ago, I had not given up eating sugar.”

It’s our choices, Harry, that show us who we truly are, far more than our abilities.
— Albus Dumbledore (J.K. Rowlings)

In every situation, we have a choice about attitude, if not about action. In particular, we can choose the passivity of the victim mindset, the “poor me” that feeds on sympathy but never really moves on, or we can choose an attitude of actively seeking ways to draw good out of evil.

Charity should begin at home, but should not stay there.
